The Partnership Project Welcomes Two New Members to the Board of Directors
Washington, DC — The Partnership Project is delighted to announce the appointment of two new members to our Board of Directors: Irene Burga and Natalie Mebane. With their extensive experience and expertise in clean energy advocacy and campaigns, they will be invaluable additions to our organization.
Irene Burga brings a wealth of experience in designing and implementing clean air and climate strategies that improve the quality of life for communities on the front lines of poor air quality and climate change. She has held positions for elected offices and major environmental organizations always centering equity and justice while pushing for effective strategies to address the climate crisis.
Irene is currently the Climate Justice and Clean Air Program Director for GreenLatinos, where she develops and implements strategies to reduce disparities and boost climate resilience in Latine communities across the country. Her strategic thinking and leadership skills along with her proven track record of success will be essential in guiding The Partnership Project as we continue to innovate and grow.
Natalie Mebane has substantial grassroots organizing, fundraising, and environmental campaign experience working at some of the largest and most influential environmental organizations, including the Sierra Club, 350.org, and the Wilderness Society. She is the Director of Greenpeace USA’s Climate Campaign, where she sets the strategic direction of the organization’s work to end the era of fossil fuels and create a more equitable future. Her unique perspective and insights will be instrumental in helping us achieve our strategic goals and provide value to our partners and stakeholders.
“We are thrilled to welcome Irene Burga and Natalie Mebane to our Board of Directors,” said Board Chairman, Erich Pica. “Their knowledge, experience, and passion for the environmental movement will help us continue to innovate, grow and provide additional value to our customers and stakeholders.”
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Board of Directors for such an impactful organization. What motivated me to support Partnership Project were the core values guiding all of the organizational campaigns: centering on equity, service, integrity, and innovation while encouraging rest and replenishment alongside impact and drive for staff and members. I look forward to continuing building on the successes of the powerful Partnership Project Board and team,” said Irene Burga.
“The Partnership Project provides an invaluable resource to so many organizations that are at the forefront of the environmental movement. I am proud to be a member of the board of directors and to join a team of leaders with the passion and experience to fight for the world that we are working to build,” said Natalie Mebane.
Irene Burga and Natalie Mebane’s appointments are effective immediately. We look forward to their contributions and insights as we continue to drive growth and success at The Partnership Project.
